If I could meet this individual I would shake his hand and pull up a stool and sit and listen and dream of yesteryears. Its so true of the comment below what this guy does with a simple open back Deering that cost about 400 bucks is amazing. Its so nice to see that this type of music and piece of history is not lost in time that is still being played and preserved. People forget this type of music is how stories were preserved and told to generations. Keep it up my friend I loved it.

Subject: quite remarkable
Clifton Hicks manages to wring some fantastic sounds out of a basic Deering Goodtime banjo. Even stepping through the single frames of the highest quality version of "Morphine", there's a good deal of "how does he do that?". Lovely old-time playing.
